Striped bass can be caught in a multitude of ways. From fly fishing to wire line jigging, there really is a technique for everyone and for almost every situation.
While you will never catch me complaining about a bass on the end of my line, I will admit that I find certain methods to be more fun than others. For example I would much rather target stripers at night with live eels, than jig 300 feet of wire during the midst of a late August heat wave. I’m sure you also have your preferred methods for pursuing striped bass.
Over the years I have met many anglers with differing opinions on what they believe to be the most exciting way to catch a big bass. I have had a few folks say live bait, trolling etc.; however the most popular method, by far, is casting top water plugs.
